SHERIDAN INSTITUTE'S ATVF PROGRAMME ANNOUNCES THE 6th ANNUAL
"3 X 3 SCREENPLAY COMPETITION"
3 characters, 3 minutes, 3 winners!
The Advanced Television and Film Program at Sheridan College teaches all aspects of film and television production and post-production at a postgraduate level.
Our alumni include Oscar short-documentary nominee Erin Faith Young, and Richie Mehta, whose first feature, "Amal", received critical acclaim at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival. Our student production “Two Cities” won a Golden Sheaf award for Best Student Film at the 2010 Yorkton International Film Festival. We also won Best Student Film there in 2009.
In November, 2011, our student production teams will shoot 3 exciting 3-minute screenplays at a Toronto film studio.
One of those screenplays could be yours!
We are looking for original, 3-character, 3-minute scripts, written
specifically with our studio set and production parameters in mind. The contest is open to any current or past student of any film/television program or single course (some restrictions on current 2011-12 ATVF students).
Think you're up to challenge? Start writing! You can submit up to 2 scripts. Remember, the submission deadline is October 6.
To look at last year’s winners, on a different set, go to:
Entry fee: $10 per script.

“The reward isn’t only the cash prize. Seeing the variety of ways your script can be produced is even more unreal and spectacular! ”
Meaghan Carey, prize winner 2010.
